Here is my team. It would lose, granted, but it would lose in a manner that pundits the world over would describe as MEGA SEXY.

Čech (CZE); Lustig (SWE), Piqué (SPA), Agger (DEN), Cole (ENG); Pirlo (ITA), Modrić (CRO); Ronaldo (POR), Van Persie (HOL), Özil (GER), Benzema (FRA).

Subs: Akinfeev (RUS), Papadopoulos (GRE), Tymoschuk (UKR), McGrady (IRE), Lewandowski (POL).

Right then… 4-1-2-3: Cech (CZE); Van der Wiel (HOL), Pepe (POR) , Chiellini (ITA) Cole (ENG); M’Vila (FRA); Rakitic (CRO), Eriksen (DEN), ; Goetze (GER), Fabregas (SPA), Dzagoev (RUS)
SUBS: Given (IRE), Elm (SWE), Yarmolenko (UKR), Papadopoulos (GRE), Lewandowski (POL)

Slightly vertically challenged, but hey, we’re all the same size when the ball’s on the floor eh?! The front five would be given license to roam everywhere and anywhere they please, and if it all goes tits up, stick Lewandowski up front and have them play off him.

Here’s a 4-1-4-1… Hart (ENG); Gebre Selassie (CZE), Perquis (POL), Koscielny (FRA), Zhirkov (RUS); Moutinho (POR); Larsson (SWE), Xavi (SPA), Marchisio (ITA), Podolski (GER); Huntelaar (HOL).
Subs: Andersen (DEN), Mykhalyk (UKR), McClean (IRE), Fetfatzidis (GRE), Jelavic (CRO).

French / Polish combo centre-back pairing should have a good understanding, full-backs will bomb on, Xavi to pull the strings, some impact subs there too.
